At the end of 2024 I went for a walk and discovered a fox. I had been looking for foxes in the area for a long time.
In January 2025 it snowed a lot, which is unusual for the area and I was very lucky to meet the fox in the snow. And it was not only the one fox, but two, see for yourself in the video below!

Not just one, even two!
Foxes in Berlin
My first encounter with a fox cub! It was in 2022 and I knew that there was a fox's den with puppies. Unfortunately I did not see any cubs, but the vixen with a full snout, fat prey, which she carried her into the den.
In 2024 I had been well camouflaged in the same place, but was not successfull. I was on my way backwhen a fox cub appeared right in front of me! The vixen was there immediately, stood infront of me and the puppy had disappeared.
I slowly withdrew, with the vixen staring at me. She stared at me for a long time, but became more and more relaxed. After a short while she came up to me, as close as only about two meters, to inspect me. My heart was pounding! She then turned around, looked for her cub and signaled it to come out. It came out, the vixen withdrew and I had a few minutes alone with the cub!
That was in the big city, you notice very much the difference to the countryside. The animals have already gotten used to humans.

After that I could take some more photos and then it disappeared. An encounter that I will never forget.
