Sweet chicks

So cute! These small, often fluffy birds are not only enchanting, but also offer exciting insights into the family life of the respective species. Especially the Egyptian Geese impress with their lively chicks, who paddle through the water in small groups and are protected by their parents.

Cygnets, on the other hand, are often the epitome of grace when they swim behind their majestic parents. Crested Grebe chicks are known for their special bond with the parents, which they often carry on their backs. Also Mallard chicks are distinctive, with their striped colouring, which she camouflages well in nature. The chicks of the Coot stand out strongly with their red head.
